What we improve, year after year

Practical changes that show up in our packaging, production, sourcing, and standards.

Packaging

Moving toward plant-based materials and smarter formats that lower impact while keeping the product experience consistent.

Efficiency

Modernizing equipment and workflows to improve reliability, productivity, and quality control across day-to-day production.

Energy

Investing in renewable energy solutions, like on-site solar, to support cleaner operations where we produce and pack.

Sourcing

Building long-term cooperation with fruit growers and strengthening local supply chains wherever volumes and seasons allow.

Packaging

Plant-based packaging, without compromise

We introduced plant-based components in selected cartons, increasing renewable material share while keeping the product experience familiar.

Up to 84% plant-based materials in selected 1L Tetra Prisma cartons.

Up to 78% plant-based materials in selected 200 ml Tetra Edge cartons.

Responsibility

Designed for circularity

We keep reducing waste through packaging choices and recycling-driven improvements.

PET2PET packaging improvements have been active since 2015.

Some packaging includes up to 50% recycled regranulate.

These changes helped reduce CO₂ by 434,000 kg

Quality standards

FSSC 22000

Product safety is our most important task and responsibility. Fructal’s food safety policy is based on three pillars: food legislation, risk assessments, and internal control. In our operations, we observe and comply with all legal requirements.

Certification under the FSSC 22000 scheme is based on meeting the requirements of the international ISO 22000 standard, which, in addition to system requirements, also includes HACCP, good business and hygiene practices, traceability and food labeling, and additional requirements of the technical standard ISO/TS 22002-01 relating to the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a hygienic environment in food production. We ensure food traceability at least one step back and one step forward in the food chain. We manage risks related to the presence of allergens, and we do not include genetically modified organisms in our products.

We obtained the ISO 22000 certificate in 2006 as the first company in Slovenia, and in 2012 we upgraded it with certification under the FSSC 22000 scheme. By meeting the requirements of the international FSSC 22000 standard, we ensure product safety that goes beyond what is legally prescribed.

With the certificate issued by an independent authorized control organization, compliance is confirmed for the processing, packaging, storage, and transport of organic products and foods in accordance with valid EU regulations for organic farming, and products may be labeled as organic. With this certificate, we act accordingly and at the same time demonstrate that, in addition to the Bio Frutek children’s line, Fructal juices in various types of packaging can also be labeled as organic.
